Selection Guide for Stretch Film and Aluminum Foil (Purchasing Guide)
• The quality and benefits of stretch film is determined by its ability to preserve. The actual savings and benefit is provided by preventing the spoiling and consequently disposal of the food! …. The stretch film must adhere to the product it is wrapped around in a manner that would not open by itself. However, it is also important that when necessary, opening it must not require any force.
• In aluminium folio on the other hand, the thickness of the foil, its ability to hold/ insulate heat as well as its capability to give shape to the product and its resistance against unwanted tearing would be among the important benefits. The less the number of holes in per square decimeter of aluminium foil the better its heat preservation / insulation capability. Furthermore, due to the less number of holes the possibility of a tear would be less and hence the resistance of the foil to tearing would be higher….. “It is always more economical to wrap in one layer of thick foil instead of using two layers of thin foil!”
The most important issue would be to choose the material that suits the area of utilization and the purpose of the area of utilization the best….. Moreover, in making the selection you must be “conscious” of your choice.
